Outdoor Rain Gauge with 11-Inch Precipitation Capacity and a Measuring Tube Graduated in 0.01-Inch Increments

This outdoor rain gauge helps you keep a daily record of precipitation with a clear butyrate plastic body and an inner measuring tube marked in 0.01-inch increments. The tube holds the first inch of rainfall, while additional rain overflows into the outer cylinder for a total precipitation capacity of 11 inches.

For snow and sleet observations, remove the funnel and inner tube to collect precipitation in the outer cylinder, then use the measuring tube to measure the melted water. A post mounting bracket, hardware, detailed instructions and daily precipitation log are included to help you set up and maintain your observations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much rainfall can this rain gauge collect?

This rain gauge measures up to 11 inches of precipitation in total. Its inner tube holds 1 inch, and rainfall above that amount automatically overflows into the outer cylinder.

What is the measuring interval on the inner tube?

The rain gauge's inner measuring tube is graduated in 0.01-inch increments and holds 1 inch of rainfall. These markings let you read amounts in hundredths of an inch.

Can I use this gauge to measure snow and sleet?

Yes. Remove the rain gauge's funnel and inner measuring tube to collect snow or sleet, then melt the collected precipitation and pour the water into the measuring tube to measure its moisture content.

What comes with the rain gauge for installation and recording?

The rain gauge includes a post mounting bracket and hardware, detailed instructions and a daily precipitation log. The funnel and inner measuring tube are also included.
