HealthiStraw Wheat Straw Mulch for Gardens, Raised Beds, Containers and Lawn Seeding, 1/2 or 3 Cubic Foot Bags

Wheat straw mulch helps cover garden soil, raised beds, containers, pots and lawn seed applications with a clean, easy-to-apply layer. GardenStraw is processed from sustainably sourced wheat straw and is designed for practical seasonal use around vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, shrubs and flowers.

Apply a 2–3 inch layer while keeping it 1 inch away from plant crowns and stems, then water thoroughly to help the straw stay in place. The mulch can help conserve moisture, reduce weed competition and soil erosion, and shield plants from mud splatter. At the end of the season, mix it into the soil or leave it as soil protection while it decomposes.

GardenStraw also supplies carbon material for composting and can be used for new lawn seeding or patch repair. Because wheat seed removal is not perfect, occasional wheat seeds may remain and sprout; seedlings can be removed by hand.
